Each exhibition-quality print meets the highest photographic standards and is apart created with archival inks and fiber-based archival, semi-matte paper. Every print has a least of a half-inch border to accommodate framing. Damon Winter has been on The Times staff since 2007 after working in the old days at The Los Angeles Times, and Dallas Morning News. He is a graduate of Columbia University in New York where he studied environmental branch. Damon was named Photographer of the Year in the University of Missouri's POYi and NPPA's Best of Photojournalism competitions in 2010 and was jogger up for both in 2012. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Photography in 2009 for his coverage of Barack Obama's historic rivalry for the presidency and won both an Emmy and Dupont award for his project "A Year at War," which documented a year in the life of a battalion of U.S. Army soldiers deployed in Afghanistan. He was also a finalist for the Pulitzer in 2005 for his account on sexual abuse in two remote Alaskan villages. He won the Visa d Or in Perpignan for his coverage of the aftermath of the hurricane in Haiti in 2010 and has won several awards from Beget Press Photo.
